Emergent properties can only exist within conscious experience.
…
Neither matter nor information can ‘seem to be’ anything. They are what they are.
It makes more sense that existence itself is an irreducibly sensory-motive phenomenon – an aesthetic presentation with scale-dependent anesthetic appearances rather than a mass-energetic structure or information processing function. Instead of consciousness (c) arising as an unexplained addition to an unconscious, non-experienced universe (u) of matter and information (mi), material and informative appearances arise as from the spatiotemporal nesting (dt) of conscious experiences that make up the universe.
Materialism: c = u(mdt) + c
Computationalism: c = u(idt) + c
Multisense Realism: u(midt) = c(c)/~!c.

really very amazing mysterious realities,
I felt like taking a few minutes this morning to widen my scope of understanding concerning our optical vision.. spurred on by curious inclinations I had the other day while driving, a clear and defined whisper.. that it would enhance my dispositional awareness to follow up on one of those seemingly random and unremarkable nuggets of intrigue that bubble up to the surface of our thoughts during work. This morning I felt compelled to explore. I new this river would lead to bigger, richer ecosystems and I had a fitting entry point in mind. “Pupil” was the first of 2 google searches that ultimately and unexpectedly brought, through my pupils, riding on waves of light, one of your pages.
Before that I spent time looking at diagrams and descriptions of the human eye when I got stepped into another intellectual wormhole, in which they described the different uses of the word “aperture” as it relates to optical systems, two in this article: biological and mechanical. At that point I guess my third eye, or second mouth, spoke up and prompted me to check out what is being discussed online about this concept as it relates to the unseen optical system that processes our understanding of existence internally, the optics behind the optics. I KNEW, as much as anything can be known before it happens.. that the stream I was following downstream was about to open up, though I had no clue to what. Whatever it was I could feel was leading to something bigger; It might band up with other streams to form a larger tributary in a push for the sea…or I was about to be dumped into the ocean then and there. So I followed my instinct and entered the search words “aperture” and “consciousness” and your work appeared, which was delightfully extensive, systematic, and inspiring. I‘ve only dipped my
toes in but I enjoyed seeing someone pour so much work in to a field that is so close and fundamental, yet barely tangible to be understood with the tools we have. Possibly the mother of all frontiers.
There’s so much more I would love to convey but as a newcomer to all this I think that the story that lead me here is all I have authority to speak on.. which for myself contains rich elements of synchronicity and symbolism that resonated with your explorations.
Thanks for all that!
Thanks so much! I appreciate it 🙂
